Match each link to one customer action

A WhatsApp conversation moves quickly. Use separate, clearly named links for actions such as View catalog, Place order, Pay securely, Find us, or Contact support.

The message, visible short name, and destination page should make the same promise. A mismatch makes even a legitimate business link look suspicious.

Use short names that are easy to recognize

Aliases such as catalog, order, menu, location, or help work better than random characters when customers see the same link repeatedly. A custom short domain can add another visible brand signal.

Avoid stuffing channel codes or long campaign names into the public alias. Keep detailed attribution in structured campaign parameters behind the short link.

Update the destination once

Catalogs, order forms, payment pages, and support systems change. A managed short link lets the business update one destination while previously sent messages keep working.

Treat payment and sign-in destinations as high-risk changes. Review the new host carefully, record who approved it, and test the complete customer journey before switching traffic.

Use a Bio Page when choices multiply

If every message contains four or five links, move the stable choices to one focused Bio Page. Put the current catalog, order action, location, hours, and support contact in a clear order.

Continue sending a direct short link when the customer has already expressed one specific intent. Fewer taps are better when the next action is known.

Measure campaigns without confusing consent

Campaign parameters and click reports can show which message or promotion attracts attention. Use consistent source and campaign names so reporting does not split one activity into several labels.

A click does not automatically make someone a marketing subscriber. Keep messaging permission, customer records, and sensitive order information in the systems designed for those purposes.

Protect customers from stale links

Review active destinations, archive finished offers, and keep evergreen actions such as support and location under clear ownership. Do not silently reuse an old promotional link for an unrelated page.

If a campaign ends, choose an intentional fallback: the current catalog, a clear end message, or another relevant action. That is better than sending customers to a broken page.
