Govern the risky decisions
Not every link needs a lengthy approval. Focus governance on decisions with lasting impact: custom domains, high-traffic aliases, security-sensitive destinations, and changes to widely distributed links.
Routine creation can remain fast when naming rules, permission boundaries, and validation are built into the workflow.
Make ownership visible
A workspace gives the organization continuity when team members change. Links should belong to the workspace, while the audit record identifies who created or changed them.
Roles should grant the smallest practical permission set. Someone who can review analytics may not need permission to change a destination.
Archive instead of erasing context
Deletion removes evidence that may still matter to support, security, or campaign analysis. An archive state keeps the operational record while making the active collection easier to manage.
For truly destructive actions, show impact before confirmation and preserve an audit trail appropriate to the risk.
